Strange Times

So I really have no idea where to start in writing a blog so I'm just going to make a start and rabble on for a few minutes and hope it works out ok.

2020 has been such a strange year, I'd made a great long list of plans for Ren and Thread, trying to pull together a cohesive brand and launching my own website.  Who would have thought we'd have been working through a global pandemic and living in what feels like a constant groundhog day.  My website launch has been a little more low key than I hoped but I've gone with the flow with the moto of progress not perfection (quick shout out to Jenny Pace and her group coaching course for keeping me in check) as the time and energy needed to look after little ones 24/7 has certainly taken its toll.

Looking back I'm rather proud that I've made it this far.  The website is here (huge shout out to Helen Bottrill for her patience and talent in building it for me, I really couldn't have got here without you) and the rebrand is complete. I love having a collection of cohesive colours and logos to work with. If you're looking for a graphic designer do check out Miss Sammie Designs. It looks amazing doesn't it!

Lockdown has also given me time to slow down a little. To enjoy the now and embrace the family time we were gifted with. I am so grateful for this time, the extra walks exploring our local countryside and the slower pace of life. Unfortunately just as lockdown has started to be lifted we have had

to say goodbye to our gorgeous beagle Evie.  She has left a huge hole in our lives.  She is the reason Ren and Thread began and will always be my inspiration as the business moves into its next chapter.

So what next? Whilst we contemplate adding a new furry friend to our family I'll be busy making stock and adding all my hand made fabric products on here. In the meantime they are still available in my Etsy shop and from my Not on the High Street store front.
